ABOUT

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada with 8 siblings and learned how to get along with others in a large family. My parents were church planters in Nevada after leaving the farm life in Oklahoma. I played tennis in high school and was also very interested in pursuing a career in helping people. After graduating high school I attended Westmont College in California for two years and then completed my B.A. in Psychology at the University of Nevada-Reno. After several years, I went back to school to complete my M.A. in Counseling and Educational Psychology in 1992 with a dual emphasis in marriage and family counseling and school counseling. I worked in schools for 15 years as a school counselor, teacher and administrator. I then began counseling in private practice in Oregon in 2008 and worked with children, teens, individuals and families. In my former marriage I raised three children who are now young adults and two are married. I moved to Colorado from Oregon in 2017, and remarried in 2018. My husband Dave and I are now very excited about two grandchildren that are on the way. In my free time, I enjoy hiking in the mountains, cooking paleo recipes, writing scripture meditations, bicycling, and having lattes
with friends.
